The political air in Andhra Pradesh is filled with demands for the appointment of Nara Lokesh as the state’s Deputy Chief Minister. The debate gained momentum after TDP Politburo member Srinivas Reddy appealed to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to think over the proposal of appointing Lokesh for a high-profile position.
Support for Lokesh’s elevation has since been echoed by senior leaders, including Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Pitapuram SVSN Varma, and Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, further intensifying the speculation. Amid these developments, AP Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has weighed in, offering a spiritual perspective on the matter.
On Monday, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha visited the Simhachalam Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple with her family. She received a ceremonial welcome from temple authorities and blessings in the form of teertha prasadam following her darshan.
When questioned by the media about the possibility of Nara Lokesh becoming the Deputy CM, Anitha responded thoughtfully, stating, “Positions of this nature come with God’s blessings. If Nara Lokesh or anyone else has divine grace, they will achieve such roles. With collective prayers, anything is possible.”
Anitha’s comments have introduced a spiritual element to the ongoing political debate. With increasing support from senior TDP leaders and rising public interest, the spotlight now turns to Chandrababu Naidu, who holds the key to this decision. As anticipation builds, the question remains: will Nara Lokesh step into the coveted Deputy Chief Minister role and assume greater responsibilities within the state’s political framework?
