AP Home Minister Anitha Removes PA Jagadeesh Over Corruption Allegations

In a major development in Andhra Pradesh, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has taken a decisive move to cut off her long-time personal assistant, Sandhu Jagadeesh, who has been surrounded by mounting allegations of corruption and illegal activities. Though she knew about the wrongdoings of Jagadeesh for some time, Anitha’s decision to part ways with him has raised eyebrows and sparked widespread discussions across government and political circles.

Sandhu Jagadeesh, who had been Anitha’s trusted PA for over ten years, initially came on board when she was serving as an MLA from Payakaraopeta in Anakapalli district. As her political career progressed, from being an MLA to the President of TDP Women’s Wing and later a minister in the coalition government, Jagadeesh continued to hold his position. However, his growing involvement in criminal activities, such as extortion, intimidation, and bribery, eventually drew serious concerns from within the party and beyond.

Jagadeesh’s activities included managing illegal gambling operations in Payakaraopeta, coercing excise officers to obtain a share of liquor shop revenues, and even selling Tirumala Darshan tickets, meant for Anitha’s quota, to a hotel in Tirupati. Despite numerous complaints and the public outcry, Anitha had maintained her professional association with him, which led to accusations of her complicity in his misdeeds.

The issue, however, has been brought to the public, and after much pressure and hearing complaints from one and all Anitha today has taken such a drastic move to end her association with Jagadeesh. This was seen as Home Minister’s endeavour to distance herself from the controversy and regain back the confidence among the people regarding her integrity towards the post held.
