AP High Court Reserves Judgment in Jagan’s Passport Case

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has reserved its judgment in the passport case involving former Chief Minister and YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy. The court is expected to deliver its verdict on Wednesday after hearing arguments from both sides.

Jagan’s diplomatic passport was canceled following his loss of power in the general elections, prompting him to apply for a regular passport. However, the passport office requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the court. In response, Jagan filed a petition with the Vijayawada People’s Representatives Court.

The People’s Representatives Court  had directed that the passport be issued within a year. Seeking a passport with a validity of five years, Jagan approached the High Court. After extensive hearings and arguments, the court has postponed its decision.
