AP High Court Grants Relief to Former Minister Rajani

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has granted temporary relief to YSRCP leader and former Minister Vidudala Rajani in a petition regarding alleged police harassment. The petition, filed by Chilakaluripet ITDP President Pilli Koti, accused Rajani and her personal assistants of directing police to harass him in 2019. Koti claimed that he was arrested by then-Town CI Surya Narayana for posting on social media, leading to severe difficulties, including being denied access to court. He alleged that his complaint to the police went unaddressed, prompting him to approach the court for justice.

The High Court has directed the police not to take any harsh actions against Rajani and her assistants. Further hearings have been scheduled for February 20. Additionally, the court has ordered the filing of cases against Rajani, her personal assistant, and CI Surya Narayana.
