AP Government Employees complains Governor Against YS Jagan’s Regime

AP Government Employees Association President K.R. Surya Narayana has alleged that the previous government of YS Jaganmohan Reddy harassed the AP Government Employees Association. He said that they have complained to the state governor about this.

He deplored that the dues due to the employees have reached Rs. 25,000 crores and the coalition government is positive towards the employees, which is why it has paid the Rs. 6200 crores due to them. Surya Narayana clarified that they are not pressuring the government for the remaining dues, as the state is facing severe financial crisis.

He said they are not seeking for a PRC consisting of retired IAS, but seeking to form a Pay Revision Committee consisting of a sitting judge or three members. He said that nothing has changed in the reports given by the past 11 Pay Revision Committees except the name and date. He alleged that the Pay Revision Committee is being confined to being a rehabilitation center for retired IAS officers.

He said that they want IR to be announced until the PRC is given. He requested that at least one DA be announced. He said that there is no mechanism for resolving employee complaints. He said that he feels that the Joint Staff Council system has failed.

He was angry that the complaints given are not being resolved and that some IAS officers are being negligent. KR Surya Narayana was angry that many people are behaving disrespectfully and arrogantly. He said that the problems of employees and the problems of the people are not being resolved.

Stating that the IAS officers have the same code of conduct as the employees, he said that the IAS officers should recognize and behave with the lower staff as colleagues. He said that all employees are servants of the government and the people, not only IAS officers.

He asked the state government to revive the Employees’ Tribunal. He said that a law on employee welfare and the GPS Act made by the previous government should not be put in abeyance. He asked for clarity on the CPS issue.
