AP Gets A Big Boost: Pawan Kalyan Launches Initiatives After Five Years

On the occasion of Dussehra, the central government has released ₹988.77 crore to Andhra Pradesh as part of the 15th Finance Commission grants. In conjunction with this, the state government is launching “Palle Panduga” (Village Festival), a week-long celebration of village-level governance, starting today. After a hiatus of five years, the government is also initiating the construction of 3,000 kilometers of cement roads, with the groundbreaking ceremony to be held in Kankipadu. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will formally launch this ambitious infrastructure project.  

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has emphasized the importance of a well-structured approach in implementing upcoming projects. The central government has released ₹988.77 crore from the Finance Commission, with ₹395.50 crore allocated as untied grants and ₹593.26 crore as tied grants. These funds will be distributed to 9 Zilla Parishads, 615 Mandal Parishads, and 12,853 Gram Panchayats across the state, aiming to boost local development efforts as outlined by the central government.  

  The central government has directed that the recently released funds be utilized to improve essential services and infrastructure in panchayats. In preparation for the “Palle Panduga – Panchayat Week” celebrations, which commence today, the state government has instructed officials to organize a statewide foundation ceremony for cement road construction on October 14. 

District collectors have already provided administrative approval for the development of 3,000 kilometers of cement roads as part of 30,000 projects approved in Gram Sabhas across various districts. Engineers are working on final estimates for technical approval. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will lead the groundbreaking event at Kankipadu in the Penamaluru constituency, while ministers and MLAs have also confirmed their participation in similar events across the state.
