Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan recently embarked on a pilgrimage tour of South India’s prominent temples, starting with the Shashta Shanmukha temple visits. As part of the tour, he visited the Sri Murugan Swamy temple at Tiruparankundram, near Madurai, this evening.
Upon arrival, temple officials extended a traditional welcome and escorted Pawan Kalyan for a special darshan. He offered prayers at the temple and was briefed by the priests about the temple’s significance.
During the visit, Pawan Kalyan made offerings to Lord Subrahmanya and his consorts Valli and Devasena, including presenting a mokarilli (traditional offering). He also visited the nearby Shiva and Vaishnavite shrines, offering prayers and receiving blessings.
Following the temple visit, Pawan Kalyan toured the Vedic school located within the temple premises. Young students welcomed him with Vedic chants, and Vedic scholars blessed him in a traditional manner.
Pawan Kalyan then proceeded to the Meenakshi Amman temple in Madurai, where he offered sarees, flowers, and fruits to the goddess and participated in special prayers conducted by the temple priests. He also performed Parashakti Parayanam (chanting) inside the temple.
The tour concluded with a visit to the Sri Soma Sundareswarar Swamy temple, where Pawan Kalyan offered silk garments and performed special prayers. He was accompanied by his son, Akira Nandan, and close associate and TTD board member Anand Sai during the pilgrimage.
