AP CM Chandrababu Clarifies Rumors on Central Government Flood Relief

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has addressed rumors regarding the central government’s reported allocation of Rs 3,300 crore in flood relief to the Telugu states. Naidu stated, “We have not received any official information about assistance from the Centre. The news of Rs 3,300 crore in flood relief for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is merely speculation.”

Naidu further clarified that the state is yet to submit its preliminary report on the damages caused by the recent rains, floods, and crop losses. “We will be sending a preliminary report with damage estimates to the Centre tomorrow morning (September 7),” he said.

The Chief Minister also shared alarming statistics, noting that an unprecedented 11.90 lakh cusecs of floodwater had been recorded, and 28 people had lost their lives. He called on the central government for financial aid and urged private entities to contribute under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). “Many individuals and organizations are coming forward to help the victims, and I encourage everyone to join in supporting those affected by the floods during this challenging time,” Chandrababu added.
