Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a press conference to announce details about flood relief measures. He stated that ₹25,000 would be provided to each household in flood-affected areas. Those living on the first floor will receive ₹10,000, while those affected by water entering their homes will also get ₹10,000.
For small businesses, ₹25,000 will be offered, and financial aid will be provided to MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) that have suffered losses. MSMEs with a turnover of ₹40 lakh to ₹1.5 crore will receive ₹1 lakh, while those with a turnover exceeding ₹1.5 crore will get ₹1.5 lakh.
Regarding insurance claims for motorcycles and repairs, Chandrababu Naidu mentioned that over 9,000 claims have been filed, totaling ₹71 crore. So far, ₹6 crore has been paid, with 6,000 claims still pending.
Three-wheeler operators will receive ₹10,000, and two-wheeler owners will get ₹3,000. For those who lost bullock carts, new carts will be provided.
Handloom workers will be given ₹15,000, and those who lost their looms will receive ₹25,000. For fishing boats, compensation varies: ₹9,000 for partially damaged nets, ₹20,000 for completely damaged nets, and ₹25,000 for fully destroyed motor fishing boat nets. ₹15,000 will be given for a hectare of fish farming for de-silting and restoration.
Livestock compensation includes ₹50,000 for cattle, ₹40,000 for bullocks, ₹25,000 for calves, ₹7,500 for sheep, ₹100 for chickens, ₹5,000 for shed damage, ₹25,000 per hectare for rice, ₹10,000 per acre for other crops, and varying amounts for other crops like cotton, groundnut, sugarcane, tobacco, maize, and pulses.
For specific crops, the relief amounts are: ₹15,000 for soybeans and pulses, ₹35,000 for turmeric and bananas, ₹25,000 for vegetables, ₹35,000 for chili, ₹25,000 for papaya, ₹25,000 for tomatoes, ₹35,000 for guava, ₹25,000 for flowers, ₹25,000 for onions, ₹35,000 for lime orchards, ₹35,000 for mangoes, ₹35,000 for coffee, ₹25,000 for pomegranate, ₹25,000 for nursery plants, and ₹35,000 for sapota and dragon fruit. Additionally, ₹1,500 will be provided for palm oil trees and coconut trees.
For government employees, relief of ₹50,000 will be given for those on the ground floor of 175 secretariats, while those on the first floor and above will receive ₹25,000.
