The Andhra Pradesh state cabinet meeting, that was scheduled to meet on October 10th was postponed due to the death of Ratan Tata and now it is decided to meet on October 16th at 11 am under the chairmanship of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.

The Chief Secretary to the Government has issued an order on the same matter. Government has issued instructions to the chief secretaries of various departments to send proposals on the issues to be discussed and approved in the meeting by 4 pm on Monday.

Chief Minister Chandrababu has already announced during his tour in Kurnool district that free gas cylinders will be provided to women who are part of the Super Six for Diwali. So it seems that there is a possibility of taking a decision on the issue of free gas for women in the state cabinet meeting.

The cabinet is also likely to discuss and take a decision on the issue of garbage tax abolition, besides on the issue of keeping GOs online.  It will further discuss the Judicial Preview Act, which was brought by the previous YCP government, and GOs issued by various departments in connection with it.

Cabinet is likely to decide on waiver of stamp duty and registration fees in rescheduling of loans in flood affected areas.

It seems that the Cabinet may discuss the proposal to fill 190 new posts in 13 new municipalities. A proposal to amend the law regarding the appointment of governing bodies for various temples in the state will come before the cabinet.

The AP cabinet is also likely to discuss the proposal to increase members in the governing council of temples from 15 to 17 members. The cabinet has to take a session on convening of the state assembly budget session to present the state budget.

On the other hand, the AP government is preparing to issue new ration cards in the state soon. The state government is working on changes and additions of family members in the existing cards. A decision on this is likely to be taken in the cabinet meeting. The government hopes to fill up the vacancies of 6,000 ration dealers and set up more than 4,000 new shops. The AP Cabinet is likely to take a decision on this.
