AP Cabinet Prepares for Paperless Meetings: CM Chandrababu Pushes for Technology Adoption

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet is set to embrace a paperless approach in its meetings, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu leading the initiative. Known for his strong interest in leveraging technology, CM Chandrababu has decided to equip all ministers with iPads to facilitate this transition.

In a recent Cabinet meeting, CM Chandrababu announced that all upcoming meetings would be conducted through a paperless method. This move marks a revival of the e-Cabinet meetings first introduced by Chandrababu in 2014. However, the practice was discontinued by the subsequent YSRCP government.

Traditionally, Cabinet meetings have required officials to print at least 40 sets of documents based on the agenda items. The shift to paperless e-Cabinet meetings is expected to eliminate this need, with agenda details being directly uploaded to the ministers’ iPads.

The government anticipates that this high-tech approach will lead to substantial savings in printing costs. Additionally, the e-Cabinet system is designed to enhance security by preventing the leakage of Cabinet notes.
