AP Cabinet Brought obscene posts Also Under PD Act purview

The AP cabinet has approved the law amendment bill, which has made key changes in the Pre-Trial Detention Act (PD Act) to curb anti-social and anti-social forces. The government will bring more than 10 new crimes under its purview by changing the name and definition of this act. Previously, there were only five types of crimes under this act.

Those who are spreading obscene and objectionable posts on social media will also be brought under the purview of the PD Act. The government is ready to apply the PD Act to land grabbers, illegal storage of ration rice, as well as those who commit crimes such as transportation, sale and exports.

The cabinet presided by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has also approved 20 bills to be introduced in the current assembly sessions. The government has decided to set up a High Court bench in Kurnool as promised during the elections. It has been decided to send this proposal to the central government.

The cabinet also approved the proposal to continue the legal institutions such as the Lokayukta and the Human Rights Commission, which are already based in Kurnool. It has been decided to shift the office of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, located in Kurnool, to the capital Amaravati.

The law amendment bill regarding the appointment of Lokayukta was also approved. According to the previous law, the opposition leader should also be in the committee approving the appointment of the Lokayukta.

Currently, there is no recognized opposition leader in the assembly. With this, an amendment was proposed that instead of the opposition leader, any member of the legislative assembly can be there.

The cabinet is of the opinion that tourism in the state will increase if there is adequate security, and if there are more tourists, jobs will also increase. For this, it has been decided to appoint lifeguards at the beaches, provide police security, and provide adequate security to tourists in the interior areas so that they can go anywhere and return safely.
