The AP Assembly sessions will continue till the 30th of this month. The Legislative Affairs Advisory Committee (BAC) met under the chairmanship of Speaker Ayyannapatrudu and decided to hold the sessions for 10 days. The Telugu Desam Party has proposed 18 items for discussion in the house.
Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav will make an announcement in the house on the reduction in prices and the benefits to the people due to the central government reducing the GST slabs. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will reply congratulating the central government.
Also, on Friday, a discussion will be held in the house on water resources. Law and order on the 22nd, health on the 23rd, industries on the 24th, Super 6 on the 25th, Quantum on the 26th, Logistics on the 27th, AP towards Swarnandhra on the 29th, and Rayalaseema-Coast- North Andhra development on the 30th will be discussed.
The Assembly has been declared a holiday on the 20th, 21st, and 28th. It was decided in the BAC that the House should be held from 10 am to 5 pm every day. The CM made it clear that ministers should be present in the House during the zero hour along with the question and answer period.
The BJP has proposed 9 items to be discussed in the House. Chief Minister Chandrababu, Nadendla Manohar, Payyavula Keshav, GV Anjaneyulu, Vishnu Kumar Raju and others attended the BAC meeting.
Meanwhile, the monsoon Assembly meetings started in a heated atmosphere.on Thursday. In this context, Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu expressed extreme impatience with ministers and officials and asked them why they did not take notes when MLAs spoke during Zero Hour.?
Senior TDP MLA Butchaiah Chowdhury demanded that they should definitely get answers to the issues raised during Zero Hour. This caused a heated atmosphere in the Assembly for a while. Later, he expressed deep concern over the non-attendance of YSRCP MLAs in the Assembly sessions.
He cautioned them that the fact that opposition leaders did not come to the House due to the fear of scams faced during the last five years of rule is a politically incorrect signal. He alleged that the leaders are actually afraid because the people did not make the opposition win.
