Andhra Pradesh Receives ₹9,417 Crore In Railway Budget

The Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chandra Babu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, has successfully cultivated a strong and productive relationship with the central government, which has brought in considerable financial support to the state. This cooperation has been highlighted by the recent railway budget allocations.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced that Andhra Pradesh has been allocated ₹9,417 crore for railway infrastructure development in 2026. This is nearly double the ₹5,337 crore allocated to neighboring Telangana. Additionally, the state will benefit from the introduction of new “Bharath” and “Namo Bharath” trains, enhancing its transportation network.

The central government has preferred Andhra Pradesh for the sanction of future railway projects, especially for new railway technologies. It will invest heavily in enhancing the state’s infrastructure, and this will contribute to general growth in the economy.

While Telangana too is gaining out of the launch of Vande Bharat trains, Andhra Pradesh’s higher railway budgetary allocations seem to reflect the increased clout of the state’s leadership and its better connections with the Centre. The strategic initiatives taken by Chandra Babu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan are creating critical sources for a financial turnaround and growth for the state.
