In a significant development, the Andhra Pradesh government has appointed IAS officer Praveen Aditya as the new Managing Director of AP FiberNet. The decision follows the resignation of GV Reddy from the position of FiberNet Chairman and the transfer of MD Dinesh Kumar to the General Administration Department (GAD). Official orders regarding the new appointment have been issued.
The government had received complaints alleging irregularities in AP FiberNet during the previous administration and has been closely monitoring the issue. Additionally, reported conflicts between the FiberNet Chairman and MD became a matter of concern for the administration.
Shortly after Chief Minister Chandrababu reviewed a report on the situation, GV Reddy resigned as Chairman, and Dinesh Kumar was relieved from his MD position, leading to the swift appointment of Praveen Aditya.
