Visakhapatnam, commonly referred to as the “Jewel of the East Coast,” is fast becoming one of the key IT and business centers. As much as 295.68 acres of land has already been leased to 54 IT firms in the city’s IT park by the government, of which 41 companies have already commenced operations. This increase in business activity speaks volumes about increasing confidence of foreign IT firms in the potential of Andhra Pradesh.
Lokesh also disclosed that talks are in progress with leading international IT companies, Fortune-2500 enterprises, BPO service providers, and premier technology developers to bring more investments into the state.
For a business-friendly environment, the government is aiming at removing bureaucratic impediments in allotting land as well as granting tailor-made incentives to large industry players such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Deloitte, and Conduent. Furthermore, strategies have been conceived for building combined IT parks that will incorporate food courts, commercial space, and supporting infrastructure to make it an exciting and energetic place to work.
