Anantapur DRO caught playing online Rummy At A Top officials Meet

District Revenue Officer (DRO) Malola was caught on camera playing rummy online during a meeting of top officials at the District Collectorate in Anantapur has created outrage and it has now become a topic of discussion across the state. Soon after it came to his knowledge, district Collector Vinod Kumar became angry and ordered an inquiry into the incident.

Notices were served to DRO Malola seeking an explanation as to why he had to play online rummy in the meeting hall. The District Collector ordered the Joint Collector to inquire into the DRO. District Collector Vinod Kumar said that action will be taken against DRO Malola based on the Joint Collector’s report.

Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Chairman of the Single Member Commission on SC Classification, held a meeting at the Revenue Bhavan in the Anantapur District Collectorate. Mishra  was welcomed by DRO Malola. Anantapur and Sri Sathya Sai District Collectors Vinod Kumar, Chetan, SP Jagadish, and Assistant Collector Vinootna participated in the same meeting.

However, while the meeting was going on in a very serious manner, DRO Malola was busy playing rummy online. Many associations had gathered to submit petitions in favor of and against the SC classification. However, DRO Malola was immersed in his own world, playing rummy on his smartphone as if he did not care about any of this.

There was severe criticism of the District Revenue Officer spending his time playing poker online even though there were higher officials nearby. Collectorate employees say that DRO Malola made playing poker his job even in the office. People are expressing anger over such irresponsible behavior by a revenue officer.

They are outraged that a person who should be very responsible as a revenue officer would behave like this while a meeting is being held on an important issue. People are demanding immediate action against such officers.
