Nag Ashwin’s highly anticipated film ‘Kalki 2898AD features Prabhas as the main lead. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in the pivotal roles. On Sunday, the makers released a new poster featuring Amitabh Bachchan, followed by the grand unveiling of Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal as ‘Ashwatthama’ in Kalki 2898AD.
The makers unveiled the special introduction glimpse of legendary Amitabh Bachchan during the live broadcast of the IPL match between KKR and RCB. The teaser clip was released on Star Sports. The teaser features Amitabh Bachchan, clad in an earthy tone, praying to Shiva Linga in a cave. The teaser unfolds with a curious young boy posing inquiries: What is your name? Can you not die? Are you god? Who are you? The teaser ends with Big B revealing his name, stating, “I have been waiting for the arrival of the Avatar. I am Guru Drona’s son. Ashwatthama.”
The makers took to their social media platforms (X and Instagram) to share the teaser and wrote, “From the BIGGEST battle of the previous Yuga, to the FINAL battle of the present Yuga. Introducing the legendary @amitabhbachchan as immortal ‘ASHWATTHAMA’ from #Kalki2898AD.”
Kalki 2898AD is a mythological sci-fi helmed by Maverick director Nag Ashwin. The film is backed by C. Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies. With its stellar cast and now this unique sneak peek, Kalki 2898AD is setting new standards. The video features multiple Indian languages. Scheduled for release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and English, Kalki 2898AD is set to captivate audiences across linguistic boundaries. The film is slated to hit theaters on May 9, 2024.
