Amid Political Turmoil, Pawan Kalyan Honors MGR’s Legacy

AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan recently made an interesting tweet about former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and legendary actor MGR. On the occasion of the AIADMK (AIAIDMK) party completing 53 years on this 17th, the Janasena leader extended his best wishes to MGR’s fans and praised him.

“During my childhood in Chennai, my love and admiration for ‘Puratchi Thalaivar’ Shri MGR were ingrained in me. That affection remains unshaken to this day. On the occasion of the upcoming 53rd anniversary of AIADMK (on October 17), I extend my best wishes to all the worshippers and admirers of ‘Puratchi Thalaivar.’

“I first learned about Puratchi Thalaivar through my Tamil language teacher while studying in Mylapore. He shone like a king with his qualities of philanthropy, kindness, integrity, and care for his people,” Pawan wrote in his tweet.

Political analysts believe that this tweet serves to challenge the DMK government in Tamil Nadu, drawing closer to the AIADMK. Pawan has previously countered remarks made by DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin regarding Sanatana Dharma during the Varahi Declaration event held in Tirumala. Following this, the DMK party’s social media wing began trolling Pawan by posting old videos targeting him.

Moreover, Udhayanidhi’s followers have drawn Chiranjeevi into the controversy, posting on social media and tagging him, suggesting, ‘Tell your brother to control his emotions.’ It is believed that Pawan might have tweeted in response to this. Now, regardless of any comments made by the DMK regarding Janasena, there is a possibility that the Janasena ranks and AIADMK will stand in support of Pawan.”
