Ambitious plans To Make AP a $ 2 Trillion Economy By 2047, Says Chandrababu

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled his ambitious plans to transform the state into a $ 2 trillion economy by 2047. Towards that direction, he said that they have been formulating the `Vikasit Andhra Pradesh 2047’ Vision document, aimed at strategic development over the coming decades.  

Meeting with the representatives of NITI Aayog at Amaravati secretariat on Tuesday, he discussed various components of the proposed vision document. He said that it will contain a total of 12 aspects.

Earlier, at the District Collectors conference Chief Minister announced that the Vision Document will be unveiled on October 2. He asked them to prepare similar documents at district and mandal level also.

Naidu emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach to policy-making, stating that efforts would span from macro to micro levels. As part of this initiative, he said district-wise vision documents are being developed to guide growth over the next five years.

The Chief Minister highlighted the potential of Andhra Pradesh as a high-value agricultural processing hub and he announced plans to establish the state as a logistics hub for the eastern coast of India. He said that activities will be designed to increase the skills of the youth in accordance with industrial needs along with education.

He also mentioned that steps have been taken to make AP a hub for industries and renewable power generation. He said that an action plan is being prepared to develop AP as an international tourist center. It is said that a plan will be made to convert various cities of AP into growth centers.

CM Chandrababu told the representatives of NITI Aayog that steps will be taken to provide state-of-the-art medical facilities available to all. He also explained proposed initiatives focusing on environment- friendly development. He said that AP plans are being made to make AP a model for digital governance and economic development.
