Former Minister Ambati Rambabu launched a scathing attack on Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, following his speech at the party’s anniversary meeting held in Pithapuram. Speaking at a media conference, Ambati criticized Pawan for delivering a two-hour-long speech that, he claimed, lacked clarity and direction.
Referring to Pawan’s statement, “We stood up and supported TDP,” Ambati alleged that Chandrababu Naidu strategically positioned Jana Sena as TDP’s B-team to attract the Kapu community. He further claimed that a majority of the crowd at the event comprised TDP supporters, including those rejected by the YSRCP.
Ambati questioned Pawan’s admission of health deterioration due to politics, asking, “What happened to his wealth? Why did his health deteriorate?” He also mocked Pawan’s inconsistent statements, highlighting that the actor-turned-politician once claimed his family chanted ‘Rama Nama’ and later stated that his father was a rationalist.
The YSRCP leader criticized Pawan for failing to address key issues, such as countering the ruling party and fulfilling promises. He accused Pawan of aligning with North Indian political forces, despite previously criticizing their dominance.
“Through the ‘Jayakeertanam Sabha’, what message did he convey? Pawan is supporting the privatization of medical colleges while silently witnessing the exploitation of the Assembly. His minister is focused on collections. Pawan raised slogans like ‘Seize the Ship,’ went to the sea, and returned empty-handed,” Ambati remarked.
He further alleged that Pawan is engaging in opportunistic politics, frequently shifting alliances between TDP and Jana Sena. “He speaks in four languages to project himself as a South Indian leader who supports the North. While questioning dynasty politics, he conveniently offers vacant seats to his brother,” Ambati concluded.
