Minister Narayana has announced that the construction of Amaravati as the state capital will be completed within three years. Speaking to the media on Thursday, he clarified that no taxpayer funds would be used for the project, stating that the development would be financed through loans from HUDCO and the World Bank.
Criticizing YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, Narayana alleged that the previous government engaged in a “three-capital strategy” and urged the party to take a clear stand on the capital issue.
“YSRCP leaders are frustrated after reviewing the state budget, which is why Jagan and his party members are making baseless remarks about Amaravati. The capital’s development will be funded exclusively through revenue generated from land sales in Amaravati. Once essential infrastructure such as roads, drainage, and parks is completed, land values will increase. The ₹6,000 crore allocated for Amaravati in the budget does not come from taxpayers’ contributions,” he stated.
