It was not only a super success but also set a new benchmark as the first Hindi film to cross Rs 100 crore at the box office. Since then, the rumor of a possible Ghajini 2 has been arising, but none of Allu Aravind or Aamir Khan have reaffirmed anything and so far, no confirmation of the sequel has come across.
Aamir Khan visited a press event to show his support for Naga Chaitanya’s new film, Thandel, which hits the theatres on February 7th. During this interaction, Allu Aravind shared his ambition of collaborating with Aamir once again on a film that could break new records, potentially going even beyond the Rs 1000 crore mark in earnings. In a lighthearted moment Aamir playfully asked whether the film was Ghajini 2, throwing fresh speculation into the melt. Both stars acknowledged the buzz of the media and expressed their hope that the much discussed project would be seen alive soon.
