Allu Aravind Clarifies Intent Behind Controversial Dialogue in ‘Single’ Trailer

Renowned producer Allu Aravind, presenting the upcoming film Single starring Sri Vishnu, addressed concerns regarding a controversial dialogue featured in the movie’s trailer. Directed by Karthik Raju and co-starring Ketika Sharma and Ivana, Single is slated for release on May 9. As part of its promotional activities, the film’s team recently unveiled the trailer, followed by a media interaction.

During the event, a journalist questioned Aravind about a particular dialogue comparing women to cockroaches, expressing concern that it might be seen as derogatory. Responding to the query, Aravind clarified that the statement was intended to highlight the strength and resilience of women, not to demean them.

“The true meaning behind the dialogue has been misunderstood by many,” Aravind said. “Cockroaches can survive even a nuclear explosion. Likewise, women are incredibly strong and can endure any hardship or adversity. The comparison was intended in a positive context, not with any intention to belittle women,” he explained.

Speaking further about the film, Aravind stated that Single would offer a unique experience for audiences, describing it as a highly entertaining comedy. He added that the film’s concept is fresh and unlike anything previously seen in Telugu cinema.
