As India grapples with heightened tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and provocative actions by Pakistan, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt took to social media to share an emotional tribute to the mothers of Indian soldiers.
In a heartfelt post, Alia reflected on the emotional burden borne by families of those serving in the armed forces, particularly highlighting the sacrifices of mothers. “The past few days have felt different—marked by silence, anxiety, and unease,” she wrote. “On Mother’s Day, while many of us shared joyful moments, my thoughts were with the mothers who raised the brave hearts guarding our borders.”
Calling their contribution “an endless sacrifice,” Alia noted that behind every soldier’s uniform is a mother enduring sleepless nights and emotional uncertainty. “They know their children don’t get lullabies or peaceful nights. Every moment could bring unimaginable news. Yet, these parents carry their pain in silence and show remarkable courage. We stand with them, always,” her message read.
The tribute comes in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. In response, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, targeting and eliminating terrorist infrastructure. Meanwhile, Pakistan has drawn criticism for its provocative stance and alleged disinformation campaigns, with Indian forces responding decisively.
Alia concluded her post with a message of unity: “For our protectors and for our nation, we stand together. Jai Hind.”
