‘Manam’ is one of the finest classic films in the Telugu film industry from the legendary Akkineni family. The classic family entertainer was released in 2014, marking its glorious 10 years today. As the film completes the decade since its theatrical release, to celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary, the makers have planned to re-release it in theaters on May 23.
Dropping the same, the makers took to their social media handles to share and wrote, “Join the May celebration with magical ‘Manam’. As we mark its 10-year anniversary on May 23rd, let’s revisit its finest moments, starting today.”
‘Manam’ is a Telugu fantasy drama film with a captivating narrative of love and rebirth. The film plot follows the journey of a couple named Radha and Krishna, portrayed by Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, who have a child named Bittu (Nagarjuna). They both die in a tragic accident and reincarnate as two young people, resulting in a heartwarming tale of reunion and love.
Directed by Vikram Kumar, ‘Manam’ holds a special place in the hearts of Telugu audiences, especially Akkineni fans, as the film is the ANR’s final on-screen appearance. The film brought together the Akkineni family, including three generations: ANR, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, and Akhil.
The film was backed by the Akkineni family under the prestigious banner Annapurna Studios and also ensembles a stellar cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Akkineni Amala, Shriya Saran, Raashi Khanna, Lavanya Tripathi, Brahmanandam, Ali, and others in pivotal roles. Anup Rubens’ music added another layer to this cinematic experience.
