After the box-office disaster of the much-hyped action thriller ‘Agent,’ Akhil Akkineni has remained tight-lipped about his next project. Despite dedicating immense effort and undergoing a physical transformation for the role, the film failed to make any impact, even with Malayalam superstar Mammooty in a pivotal role. Since then, Akhil has not signed any new film in the last two years, choosing instead to wait for a good script.
However, finally, producer Naga Vamsi shared an exciting update on Akhil’s next project. He has confirmed the details of Akhil’s sixth film will be officially revealed on the actor’s birthday, April 8. This news has sparked excitement among Akkineni fans, who have been eagerly waiting for an update.
Speculations suggest that the upcoming film will be a rural romantic action drama set against the backdrop of Chittoor district. It is reported that Akhil is preparing to master the local dialect and nuances of the region to get into his role.
This yet-to-be-titled film will be helmed by ‘Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha’ fame director Murali Kishore Abburu. This project will be backed jointly by Akhil’s home banner, Annapurna Studios, and Naga Vamsi’s production house, Sithara Entertainments.
