As the time for the elections in the state of Andhra Pradesh is approaching, former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case continues to rage. A key development has recently taken place in the murder case as his daughter Dr N Sunitha Reddy approached the Supreme Court again.
Sunitha, who is fighting a legal battle to punish her father’s killers, has recently challenged in the Supreme Court the grant of bail to Sivashankar Reddy, who is an accused in the Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
The Telangana High Court has granted bail to Devi Reddy Shiva Shankar Reddy in the murder case of former Minister Vivekananda Reddy. The Telangana High Court granted conditional bail and ordered him to submit a surety bond of Rs 2 lakh.
The High Court has also imposed a condition that he should not enter AP under any circumstances. In addition, the High Court ordered Devi Reddy Reddy to surrender. Recently,Dr Sunitha filed a petition in the court to cancel the bail granted to Sivashankar Reddy by Telangana High Court recently.
A bench of Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice Sanjeev Kanna heard the petition on Monday and has issued notices. The Supreme Court has issued notices to all the respondents including Siva Shankar Reddy. The next hearing was adjourned to July 22.
Meanwhile, in a surprising move Dastagiri, who till now became an approver and spoke in favor of CBI and Viveka’s daughter Sunita, has now approached the EC against her and YS Sharmila. At the same time, after the High Court granted bail to the key accused Sivashankar Reddy, the rest of the accused are trying hard to get bail before the elections.
On the other hand, after killing Viveka all these years, Dastagiri, who became an approver and supporting her daughter Sunitha Reddy, has suddenly changed his voice, particularly after YS Sharmila decided to contest from Kadapa. As both Sharmila and Sunitha tried to make Viveka’s murder an election issue, he approached the EC to stop these efforts.
With this, the Dastagiri affair has now become a sensation. If Sharmila, Sunitha and TDP take Viveka’s murder to the public, who will lose it? In such a case, it is easy to understand the reason behind Dastagiri resorting to EC to stop them.
