The Revanth Reddy government is likely to initiate next steps to arrest former minister and BRS Executive President K T Rama Rao in the Formula-E Race case, as the ACB gets the approval from the Governor to file an FIR against him.
Chief Minister Revanth has also discussed the matter with the Governor. He said that an investigation will be conducted if the Governor gives permission. KTR has made it clear that he is ready to be arrested in this case.
Now, with the Governor’s permission, a trap is being set for KTR. The argument that the arrest is certain has come to the fore. There are chances of key developments taking place in Telangana in a day or two.
There are charges against KTR in the Formula E race case regarding payments of Rs 46 crore. There are allegations that KTR made payments as a minister without the permission of HMDA. In this, ACB officials are preparing to investigate KTR as well as the then Municipal Special Secretary Arvind Kumar and the Chief Engineer.
Notices have already been issued to Arvind Kumar regarding the diversion of funds from this Formula E race. The ACB, which is investigating this case, has sought permission from the Governor to investigate KTR.
KTR has already revealed that he has taken a decision for Hyderabad brand promotion in this case. He said that he is ready to be arrested if the government wants to arrest him. However, now with the Governor’s permission, speculations have started about KTR’s arrest.
It is reported that the ACB is preparing to register an FIR against KTR with the Governor’s permission. The main allegation is that KTR released funds of Rs 46 crore in two installments without the permission of the HMDA board.
KTR says that he released funds for this formula race as a minister. He said that there are reports that the image that Hyderabad got through this race is much more than these funds. However, now there is information from the authorities that the Governor has given permission.
With this, how the ACB will move forward in this case is becoming crucial. Congress ministers have already made comments that some of the key leaders who committed irregularities in the previous government should be arrested. With this, now the Governor’s permission and KTR’s statement that he is ready for arrest, the political suspense continues over the actions taken by the government.
