Telugu actor Adivi Sesh continues to explore diverse genres and bring edge-of-seat thrillers for moviegoers with his impressive scripts. For his upcoming film Dacoit : A Love Story, the Major actor teamed up with cinematographer-turned-director Shaneil Deo. The project was announced last year with an intriguing teaser, but hasn’t yet wrapped up the shooting formalities till now due to some production delays.
Meanwhile, the team has replaced Shruti Haasan with Mrunal Thakur for the female lead’s role. Reportedly, Shruti Haasan backed out from the project due to some creative differences with the team. On the eve of Sesh’s birthday today, the makers have unveiled a new poster to reveal the replacement for the heroine.
In the poster, both Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur appear with a serious look on their faces. While Sesh gives a stern and earnest gaze, Mrunal looks exhausted with injuries on her forehead. Dacoit is billed as a revenge drama in which a convict seeks to pay back in the same vein against her former girl friend.
Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang are jointly bankrolling the film. The shooting formalities will be wrapped up in the first half of 2025 and the film will release in mid year.
