Actor Suriya And His Family Inaugurate New Building For Agaram Foundation Office

Tamil star Suriya, who is widely known not only for his work as an actor and producer but also for his significant contributions to social causes. In 2006, the actor established the Agaram Foundation with the aim of making a meaningful impact on society by supporting education in whatever little way possible.

The Agaram Foundation is an educational foundation to help the students to fulfill their academic aspirations. It provided higher education opportunities to over 3,000 people.

Recently, the organization inaugurated a new office building for the Agaram Foundation in Thyagaraya Nagar, Chennai. The inauguration event was attended by Suriya, his family—including his wife Jyothika, children Dev and Diya, his brother Karthi and his family, and sister Brindha, along with Suriya’s parents Shiva Rajkumar and Lakshmi Shivakumar. Directors TJ Gnanavel and Karthik Subbaraj also graced the event.

The Kanguva actor jetted off from Mumbai to Chennai for this event after their relocation last year. Photos from the event go viral and are doing the rounds on social media. Speaking at the event, Suriya said, “This new office was not built through donations. It was built entirely through my salary and hard work.”

The actor also mentioned that they are able to help only 700 to 800 people a year and called for more volunteers to reach out to more people.

On the professional front, Suriya was last seen in Kanguva, which received mixed to negative reviews and underperformed at the box office. He is currently working on his next project, ‘Retro,’ under the direction of Karthik Subbaraj. Additionally, he will be working with actor-director RJ Balaji for his 45th film.
