Actor Posani Krishna Murali was apprehended by the police of Andhra Pradesh late last night in Hyderabad’s Rayadurgam region. He was taken into custody following a tip-off given to the Rayachoti police by the police in Rayadurgam, where he was traced to MyHome Bhujah Apartments.
Posani, previously embroiled in a never-ending number of legal disputes in Andhra Pradesh, had been transferred to the Rayachoti police station after he was arrested. The assault against him includes mainly his taunts on high-profile political figures such as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh. Some allegations are grave and include charges that are not bailable.
Though the reason for his arrest is not specified as of now, it is certain that Posani’s comments as the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Film, Television, and Theatre Development Corporation (APFDC) during the YSRCP government have created huge controversy. His comments have resulted in opposition party complaints, and the CID has registered a case against him. In addition, more cases have been lodged in different police stations in Andhra Pradesh, adding to the legal woes he is facing.
