Actor Nikhil Siddhartha Raises Concern Over Soaring Multiplex Prices

Actor Nikhil Siddhartha has voiced concern over the high cost of watching films in multiplexes, especially for middle-class families. Highlighting the financial strain, he pointed out that a family of four in cities like Hyderabad ends up spending over ₹1,000 to watch a film, with additional expenses during the interval.

Sharing his personal experience, Nikhil said he was shocked to find that the price of popcorn and beverages exceeded the actual ticket cost. While high ticket prices are already a burden, the inflated cost of snacks makes movie-watching unaffordable for many, he said.

The actor called on distribution circles and theatre managements to consider regulating pricing to make cinema more accessible. His comments have resonated with audiences, with several netizens responding positively and expressing similar concerns about the rising costs of theatre visits.
