Highlighting the financial strain, he pointed out that a family of four in cities like Hyderabad ends up spending over ₹1,000 to watch a film, with additional expenses during the interval.
Sharing his personal experience, Nikhil said he was shocked to find that the price of popcorn and beverages exceeded the actual ticket cost. While high ticket prices are already a burden, the inflated cost of snacks makes movie-watching unaffordable for many, he said.
