Bollywood actor Aamir Khan returns to the screen alongside Genelia Deshmukh in the upcoming sports drama Sitaare Zameen Par. Directed by R.S. Prasanna and written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, the film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The trailer, released on Tuesday, introduces Aamir as Gulshan, a basketball coach tasked with training individuals facing mental health challenges. The story explores how Gulshan trains them into players, the emotional and social hurdles he encounters, and his transformative journey.
Sitaare Zameen Par features a strong ensemble cast including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, and Vedant Sharmaa. Music is composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the soundtrack is presented by Zee Music Company. The film is jointly produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with Ravi Bhagchandaka and Shrinivas Rao also on board as producers. The film is slated for theatrical release on June 20 with the tagline “Sabka Apna Apna Normal.”
