Aamir Khan Responds To ₹20 Crore Remuneration Rumors For ‘Coolie’, Shares Thoughts on Rajinikanth Collaboration

The much-hyped film Coolie, starring Rajinikanth in the lead, has created a significant buzz in theaters, with major stars like Nagarjuna and Aamir Khan also appearing in pivotal roles. Since its announcement, rumors regarding the remuneration of the cast, especially Aamir Khan, have been circulating. Reports claimed that Aamir was paid ₹20 crore for his guest appearance. While the film’s team has denied these claims, the rumors have continued to spread.

In a recent interview, Aamir Khan addressed these speculations, clarifying that he did not take any fee for his role in the film. He stated, “My love and admiration for Rajinikanth are beyond any monetary value. Sharing the screen with him is the greatest reward for me.” Aamir emphasized that his role was that of a guest, and the true heroes of the film are Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna. His remarks effectively put to rest the ongoing discussions regarding his remuneration.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie features Aamir Khan in the role of Daha. The film, which released on August 14, has made an impressive ₹151 crore worldwide on its opening day, according to the production house.
