The name of a former DGP name has reportedly surfaced in the kidnap and illegal detention of Bollywood actress Kadambari Jethwani,s case. Vijayawada police, who initiated a probe into her illegal detention during the previous regime, recorded her statement for the second day on Saturday.
It was recorded by Investigating Officer Sravanthi Roy, from 11.30 am to 9.30 pm, in the presence of her lawyers. Along with Kadambari, her father Narendra Kumar Jethwani and mother Asha Jethwani were also interrogated by Sravantirai.
The case diary registered against Kadambari was kept before her and interrogated. The police read out her statement recorded on the previous evening and took her signatures after her confirmation. The entire process was video recorded.
After that the statements of Narendra Kumar Jethwani and Asha Jethwani were also taken. Police have attached up to 200 documents in the case registered against Kadambari. Showing her documents one by one, details of what happened before and behind the document were collected from Kadambari.
She thoroughly explained everything to the inquisitor. Later, she met Vijayawada Police Commissioner Rajasekhara Babu. In this regard, she has reportedly mentioned names of some other police officers also, which include a former DGP. The name of another inspector who worked earlier in the Vijayawada police commissionerate till a few days ago and surrendered to Eluru range is also heard in this case.
It seems that there is a possibility that the police will accept the statement given by Kadambari Jethwani as a complaint. Bollywood actress Kadambari Jethwani told the media that she explained everything to Vijayawada Police Commissioner Rajasekhara Babu.
She said that she has revealed everything after getting courage with the assurances given by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Home Minister Anita.
