Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed the officials to complete the construction of the new buildings of Osmania Hospital within two years. He held a review meeting at his residence on the progress of the construction work of the new hospital in Osmania. Heinstructed the officials to prepare plans to equip the new hospital with advanced medical equipment as per the requirements.
The Chief Minister instructed the engineering officials to have adequate rooms, labs and other structures to accommodate the advanced equipment. He said that along with the construction work of the hospital, roads should be constructed around it without causing any inconvenience to the locals.
He directed the formation of a coordination committee with officials from the health department, police, GHMC, R&B and electricity departments to expedite the construction work of the hospital. Revanth Reddy has ordered that this committee should visit the field level and meet once in ten days to resolve any problems and ensure that the work is done quickly.
Revanth Reddy has instructed the police department officials to prepare appropriate plans in advance regarding the management of security and traffic duties there after the construction of the new Osmania hospital is completed. He has instructed the R&B officials to prepare plans to connect various roads to the hospital from now on.
CM Revanth Reddy has ordered that an officer be appointed for each construction site of hospitals and medical colleges being constructed in various districts including Hyderabad. He has been instructed to entrust the officer with full responsibility to supervise the construction sites 24 hours a day. The CM has instructed the officials to complete the construction by next June.
CMO officials Seshadri, Srinivasa Raju, Manik Raj, DGP Shivdhar Reddy, senior officials of various departments Vikas Raj, Christiana, Ilambarthi, Musharraf Ali Farooqui, Harichandan and others participated in the review.
CM Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone of the new building of Osmania General Hospital on January 31. This new hospital building is being constructed on Gosha Mahal grounds with 2,000 beds and is being constructed on 26.30 acres. The 14-storey building is being constructed at a cost of Rs 2,400 crore.
Medical services will be provided in 30 departments with state-of-the-art medical facilities. Facilities will be provided in the new hospital to conduct robotic surgeries.
