Former Chief Minister and YSRCP Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is not leaving any opportunity to go to the people questioning the coalition government from ‘people’s court’. Already he has initiated a massive struggle against the Chandrababu Naidu-led government opposing its policy of constructing new medical colleges, started during his regime, under the PPP model.
He not only visited one such college in North Andhra, decided for a sit-in protest on 28th of this month, besides collecting one crore signatures from people, which will be submitted to the Governor. Now, his party leaders are joining protests against Bulk Drug Park, proposed in Rajayyapeta of Nakkapalli mandal in Anakapalli district.
They have been fighting for more than a month with the slogan “No Bulk Drug Park, Rajayyapeta Muddu”. The YSRCP has come out in support of the fishermen who are fighting. They extended support to the recent `Chalo Bulk Drug Park’ call in Rajayyapeta.
Former Minister and leader of opposition in Legislative Council Botsa Sathyanarayana announced solidarity with the fishermen on behalf of the party. While saying that they are not against industries, he announced that they have decided that they will not stand idly by if fishermen are harmed.
Botsa revealed that former CM Jaganmohan Reddy will soon come to Rajayyapeta to support them. He said that Jagan will support the victims and will hold protests. Botsa wondered why the bulk drug park, which people are opposing, should be set up. He said that they came to the victims on Jagan’s orders and will explain their grievances to Jagan. Botsa expressed his anger over the behavior of Home Minister Anita in this regard.
Former Minister Kannababu recalled the TDP leaders campaigned against the bulk drug park during the elections. He made it clear that the YCP is against the bulk drug park. The locals explained that industrial waste pollutes the sea and harms them who depend on hunting for their livelihood.
They said that they have been conducting relay hunger strikes for a month to understand their suffering. YCP leaders assured the fishermen that Jagan will come to Rajayyapeta in the first week of next month and will stand in support.
