“Sundar Pichai Drops Major Hint For Vizag’s Future”

Google CEO Sundar Pichai expressed confidence that the establishment of the Google data center will change the face of Visakhapatnam. He said that the largest investment in AI after the United States is being made in the coastal city of Visakhapatnam. Marc Benioff, CEO of the leading American customer relationship management platform Salesforce, participated in the ‘Dreamforce-2025’ discussion forum recently organized in Silicon Valley, America.

Marc Benioff praised South India, the values and food habits of the people there. He said that his favorite part of India is in the South and that he loves masala dosa. He said that values and matriarchy are given priority in South India. Women are the owners of the house and guides. Benioff said that a female teacher he met in Trivandrum had a great influence on him.

Sundar Pichai responded, “Since you mentioned South India, I am reminded of one thing. When I called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last Sunday night, I told him about Visakhapatnam, a beautiful coastal city that is growing in the South. We are making the largest AI investment there after the US.”

“We are setting up a data center of more than 1 gigawatt with an investment of 15 billion dollars. We will use more than 80 percent clean energy. Subsea cables will go from Visakhapatnam. I told the Prime Minister that we are investing enough to change the entire face of that region. I have brought all these matters to the attention of the Prime Minister, who is constantly working for the development of the country,” Sundar Pichai added.

“We first discussed AI-powered data centers at Google in 2017. Now, the coming decade of AI is upon us. That’s why we decided to fully develop AI. We made our own chips for this. We have established world-class research teams called Google Research, Google Brain, and Google DeepMind. We launched Gemini. We will release Gemini 3.0 this year,” commented Sundar Pichai.
