Actor Srikanth Iyengar Issues Apology for Controversial Gandhi Remarks

Telugu actor Srikanth Iyengar, who recently made controversial remarks about Mahatma Gandhi, has issued a public apology. On Saturday, MLC Balmuri Venkat filed a complaint with the cyber cell, urging authorities to take strict measures against Srikanth. The following day, Manchu Vishnu, president of ‘MAA,’ also received a complaint requesting the actor’s membership be revoked.

Critics accused Srikanth of distorting historical facts for publicity and emphasized that his remarks had hurt the feelings of those who revere Gandhi’s principles. They further called on senior figures in the Telugu film industry to condemn the actor’s statements and reaffirm respect for the nation’s founding leaders.

In response to the backlash, Srikanth Iyengar issued a formal apology, seeking to address public anger and clarify his position. His statement emphasizes regret and aims to mend ties with fans and the wider community offended by his comments.
