CRDA to construct Raj Bhavan with Rs 212 crore, CM Chandrababu to inaugurate CRDA office on 13th

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has approved the construction of the Governor’s residence, Raj Bhavan, in the capital city of Amaravati at a cost of Rs 212 crore. Raj Bhavan will be built as part of the construction of the Amaravati Government Complex on the banks of the Krishna River.

The 53rd CRDA meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The Chief Minister said that the capital works have been restarted and that the fruits of development should be given to the farmers who sacrificed their lands for the capital first.

He instructed officials that there should be no delay in the payment of rent to the capital farmers. “We have said that returnable plots should be given to these farmers wherever we said they would be given. We should implement the promise that we would give plots to them in the same village in which the lands were given,” he said.

“The Secretariat towers and other structures should be completed quickly. The pace of capital construction work should be increased. The Western Bypass should be started immediately. The work of connecting the West Bypass with the National Highway at the Kaja Toll Plaza should be completed quickly. The expansion of the embankment roads should be expedited”, he added.

Overall, CM Chadnrababu said that the capital city should be brought into shape in three months and directed Vijayawada, Guntur, Mangalagiri – Tadepalli corporations and Tenali municipality should be connected with the capital area and the capital area should be developed as Blue Green Amaravati. He approved the construction of four convention centers in the capital area. Municipal Administration Minister Narayana, CS Vijayanand and other top officials participated in this meeting.

Meanwhile, the construction of the CRDA headquarters in the capital Amaravati has been completed. The building has been prepared with state-of-the-art features with the letter ‘A’ as the symbol of Amaravati in a design approved by the people.  It has been built on 7 floors with corporate-style features.

A 100-foot pole has been installed for the national flag in front of the office. The surroundings around the building are being made pleasant with plants and trees. The CRDA building will be inaugurated on the 13th of this month by CM Chandrababu Naidu. It is noteworthy that this is the first full-scale building to be inaugurated in the capital.
