As the ruling Congress party’s victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election became certain, Congress leader and MLC Vijayashanti made serious allegations that the opposition parties were conspiring to damage its chances of victory. She alleged that the BRS party was trying to establish an unethical understanding in the elections, and as part of this, a secret agreement was reached between the BRS, BJP and Telugu Desam Party.
She recalled that since the BJP was contesting the Jubilee Hills by-election, the Telugu Desam Party, which had formed an alliance with the BJP, had announced that it was withdrawing from the contest in the name of “Mitra Dharmam”. But Vijayashanti made sensational allegations that there was a different conspiracy behind the scenes. She alleged that the BJP was planning to field a dummy candidate in this by-election and make its secret ally BRS win.
Vijayashanti said that despite the TDP announcing its support to the BJP, there are reports that its workers have secretly sent a message to work for the victory of BRS. She criticized that since the Congress will win somehow, the BJP has reached a secret understanding so that BRS gets the support of TDP with a conspiracy to damage the chances of victory.
On this occasion, Vijayashanti made a key call for every local Congress worker to take the responsibility of explaining to the voters of Jubilee Hills the opportunistic politics of BRS, BJP and Telugu Desam Party, which are reaching an understanding to damage the Congress. She called for breaking the immoral conspiracy of these three parties and consolidating the victory of Congress.
It is known that a by-election to this seat was inevitable with the death of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath. While Maganti’s wife Sunita is contesting on behalf of BRS, a shortlist of four candidates has been prepared from the Congress. While the BJP candidate is yet to be announced, a special committee has been formed to find a strong candidate. The polling for this seat will be held on November 11 and the results will be announced on November 14.
