Conflicts have once again erupted in the Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party. At a meeting of state office bearers held on Sunday to formulate a framework for working together for the upcoming local bodies and Jubilee Hills by-elections, several senior leaders expressed deep dissatisfaction with the party leadership, especially the lack of coordination.
Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and Kamareddy MLA Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy expressed deep anger. They questioned why there was no proper coordination between the leaders?, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy deplored that the performance of the party presidents in Rangareddy and Vikarabad districts was not good and the lack of proper coordination was not right at the time of local elections.
BJP Telangana state president Ramchandra Rao said that we should overcome the problems and move forward. He assured that a committee will be formed on the issues of Rangareddy and Vikarabad districts. He said that a BJP Telangana state-level meeting will be held on the local body elections on the 8th of this month.
MLA Katipalli asked Why is there a problem that MLAs and MLCs cannot sit together? He expressed concern that it is not right to decide programs just by sitting in the party offices and such programs are not being implemented at the field level. He questioned the leadership that the party’s situation at the ground level is bad and that their job is to come and go to meetings.
Another MLA expressed his concern that there is no proper coordination between the district leaders and the public representatives. MP DK Aruna suggested that only the right leaders should be given in-charge responsibilities. She said that the responsibility of public meetings should be entrusted only to the party’s district in-charges.
It was decided in this meeting to form a committee with three members for the selection of ZPTC and MPTC candidates. Also decided to prepare plans with the aim of winning at least 15 ZP chairman.
