Tollywood actor Suhas and Tamil comedian Suri narrowly avoided a major accident during the shooting of their upcoming film “Mandaadi.” The incident occurred near the coast close to Chennai when a boat carrying technical crew capsized unexpectedly, putting the team at risk. Two crew members sustained injuries, while film equipment valued at approximately ₹1 crore was submerged in the sea.
The mishap took place while key scenes were being filmed along the Thondi coastal area in Ramanathapuram district. Technical experts on board the boat, responsible for cameras and other essential equipment, were caught off guard when the vessel lost balance and capsized mid-shoot, creating a tense situation for the team.
Prompt action by the remaining film crew ensured the injured members were safely brought to shore, and no fatalities were reported. Despite the loss of expensive cameras and other equipment, shooting for “Mandaadi” is continuing at full pace in Chennai, with the team determined to complete the project on schedule.
