Director Sujeeth’s much-awaited film with actor Nani was officially launched in Hyderabad on the occasion of Dussehra, putting an end to speculation about the project’s status. The film, which was announced even before the release of OG, had sparked rumours of cancellation after no updates surfaced for over a year. Sujeeth recently dismissed those reports during OG promotions, confirming that the project was very much on track.
The launch ceremony was held with a traditional puja, where actor Venkatesh attended as the chief guest and sounded the clapboard for the muhurtham scene. Photos from the event have gone viral on social media, with fans speculating about a possible role for Venkatesh in the film. Producer Venkat Boyanapalli stated that regular shooting will commence soon and that further updates will follow. While Sujeeth is celebrating the success of OG, Nani is currently working on The Paradise, directed by Dasara fame Srikanth Odela.
Clarifying recent speculation, Sujeeth confirmed that the film will not be part of the OG universe and will instead be similar in tone to his debut film Run Raja Run. The title Bloody Romeo has been circulating online, though no official announcement has been made yet.
