The government on Wednesday appointed a committee of ministers to control issues like false propaganda and threats to national security on social media. The government has appointed Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, Medical and Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav, Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar, and I&PR Minister Parthasarathy as members. This committee is going to focus on social media accountability and content control. It will also monitor false propaganda and misleading information. The committee will also study the international policies implemented for social media control.
