Nara Lokesh-Led Ministers panel Formed To check False propaganda on social Media

The social media frenzy continues in Andhra Pradesh. The issue of social media posts that started in the previous YSRCP government is continuing in the coalition government as well. The opposition parties are posting posts against the government and the ruling parties are posting posts against the opposition. The mention of personal issues has also changed.

In this context, the Chandrababu Naidu government has taken a key decision to regulate social media posts. The government on Wednesday appointed a committee of ministers to control issues like false propaganda and threats to national security on social media. Nara Lokesh will be the chairman of the committee of ministers.

The government has appointed Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, Medical and Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav, Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar, and I&PR Minister Parthasarathy as members. The government has issued orders to set up this committee to make recommendations for regulating social media.

This committee is going to focus on social media accountability and content control. It will also monitor false propaganda and misleading information. The committee will also study the international policies implemented for social media control. It will make recommendations for action on false propaganda, misleading information, and posts that pose a threat to national security.

It will also give suggestions to the Committee of Ministers for the protection of civil rights. It will also have the power to recommend the establishment of nodal agencies or independent monitoring bodies, if necessary, the order said. The Committee of Ministers will submit its recommendations on social media control to the government as soon as possible. The government will then take a decision on this.

The suggestions made by this committee are going to be crucial in the issue of social posts, which is going on as a YSRCP vs. alliance in the state. It seems that the government is likely to set up a system to control social posts based on these. The government is already trying to control fake news in various forms, including fact checking, but there is no result. With this, there is excitement about the recommendations made by the committee.
