Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha demanded that BJP Etala Rajender apologize to the BCs for his wrongful comments on BC Reservations, stating that he would go to court over the local body elections. She alleged Etala’s comments on BC reservations are proof of the BJP’s sincerity.
She said that Etala should fight with his own party BJP if necessary for BC reservations. She criticized Etala for speaking in a way that belittles his dignity, despite being a fighter. She lamented that such comments from Etala, a child of BC, are outrageous. She was furious that BJP president Ramachandra Rao welcomes BC reservations, but Etala says that he will go to court after the elections.
Kavotha accused that whoever went to court over BC reservations are close to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. She wondered that how Etala could say that if BCs get a political opportunity, he will go to court? Kavitha demanded that the BJP should facilitate approval of the ordinance pending with the Governor. She advised that all 8 BJP MPs from Telangana should meet PM Narendra Modi for BC reservations.
She asked them to use their influence with their party leadership so that the BC bill pending with the President should be passed. She criticized the Revanth Reddy government for its mistakes in the caste census. She deplored that villages without SC, ST and BC population were reserved for the respective communities. She accused the Congress government of conspiring in the finalization of reservations.
Revanth, who said that SC classification was done, came under fire for not following the classification in the allocation of reservations. Kavitha asked that why he did not say how many seats were allocated to Madigas in SCs? Kavitha demanded that the caste census be made public by the gram panchayat.
Meanwhile, Kavitha said that the Jubilee Hills by-election is of no use to the people of Telangana. She said that there will be no big difference no matter who wins the by-election. She clarified that the target of Jagruti is to achieve BC reservations. She said that they will announce their stand on the local body elections based on the court verdict on the 8th.
