Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and choreographer-director Farah Khan have addressed recent social media speculation regarding their online interactions. Reports had suggested that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram, generating widespread discussion among fans and media.
The speculation followed Farah Khan’s humorous comment during a recent show about Deepika’s working hours, where she remarked, “She now works only eight hours… how will she manage to come for this show? Where does she find the time?” While the comment was made in jest, it sparked online discussions and led to assumptions about their social media behavior.
Clarifying the situation, Farah Khan stated that neither had followed each other on social media from the start. “During Happy New Year, we decided to communicate directly rather than through social media. We also avoid posting birthday wishes online, as Deepika doesn’t prefer it,” she said. Both have previously collaborated on successful films including Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year, and their professional relationship and friendship continue to this day.
