Tollywood sensation Jr NTR and ace director Koratala Siva delivered one of last year’s biggest hits with Devara. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film went on to become a commercial blockbuster, collecting over ₹500 crore worldwide. Now the makers thrilled fans by officially announcing that Devara 2 is in the works.
The first film launched Janhvi Kapoor to Telugu cinema as Jr NTR’s heroine. Her performance and screen presence were well-received, and Saif Ali Khan left the audience impressed with his commanding performance of the villain.
As per the latest news, the sequel will go on the floor this December. Koratala Siva is said to be reworking the script to introduce new story aspects. Buzzy reports also indicate that Silambarasan (STR) could make an entry into the cast in a key role, although nothing has been finalized as yet.
As a planned Pan-India project, Devara 2 promises to be bigger, with new additions to make it even more interesting. Having Anirudh Ravichander handle the music, making the project even more buzzworthy.
