Acclaimed actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, known for her versatile performances in Telugu and Tamil cinema, has taken a major step forward in her career by venturing into direction and production. The actress, along with her sister Pooja Sarathkumar, has launched a new production banner titled Dosa Diaries and announced its maiden project Saraswathi.
Varalaxmi will not only direct the film but also play the lead role. Described as a high-octane thriller, Saraswathi is being planned as a pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film’s title poster, which highlights the syllable “thi” in red, has already sparked curiosity among film enthusiasts.
The project brings together a stellar cast, including veteran actor Prakash Raj, actress Priyamani, and young hero Naveen Chandra in pivotal roles. Renowned music composer Thaman will compose the soundtrack.
